Gold Reserves by Country in Perspective
- The United States has twice the amount of gold in reserve than China and Russia combined.
- The combined reserves of the countries in the European Union amount to about that of the United States.
- Many small countries (like Switzerland, Netherlands, Portugal, Lebanon, ...) hold very high level of gold per squared kilometers.
